((michael stevens)) >> brian, kirsten... this could pose a major problem for those living in henderson trying to get to the the southwest part of town -- vice versa. the 215 will close in both directions

9-tonight... until monday morning at 5-am. it's so crews can install parts of a flyover off-ramp over the highway. those headed to the airport shouldn't have a problem getting to the airport connector... but expect some delays because that's where drivers will have to get off if they don't do it any earlier. anyone leaving the airport will but if you're headed to henderson you'll have to figure out another way. all this work is for phase two of the airport connector project... which includes the construction of a new flyover ramp... new bridges... and some widening. the complete project won't be done until next year.

median, and slammed into a pickup truck. the female passenger in the mustang died on scene... but the driver got out of the car and walked away. police say there were no signs the driver was impaired and it's unclear why he left./// ((brian loftus)) pahrump police are investigating yet another instance of a person housing exotic animals. ((kirsten joyce)) >> the nye county sheriff's office seized a total of 15 animals from jacki freeman and abby hedengran.... everything from a tiger, panther.. to lions. they do have specialo custody of the animals. police received reports of exotic animals not being properly cared for... and later found them locked up, living in bedrooms in dirty conditions. the animals were living with freeman at the time.. she was not arrested, but was cited for animal cruelty. the animal permit is now being reviewed on whether the owners can keep it./// ((kirsten joyce)) this new animal case comes on the heels of a pahrump

houston.. where she's facing charges for child endangerment. investigators say trisha meyer let exotic animals roam her home with a juvenile. animal control found three tiger cubs in the backyard.. and eight monkeys, a skunk, and a fox inside her home. the animals have since been taken into protective custody./// ((kirsten joyce)) new picks announced overnight ... ((brian loftus)) learning the history, science and engineering of mining....from a group of fourth-graders! they are called mighty miners, and at mccaw elementary, these student body leaders give tours of mccaw school of mines, a simulated mine on campus riley born mighty miner "i love telling people about the modern day history, and the back-in-the-day hio ((brian loftus)) mighty miners present to 50 schools and 200 classes each year. the simulated mine, now in it's 20th year, has delivered a hands-on field trip experience to over 100,000 visitors andrea compton magnet coordinator "just how well they do, how much they learn, and how passionate they are to give tours of the mine and the school, and they will speak to kids, adults, strangers - they'll talk to anybody once they learn the

as we expected. ............. kids grab a warm hoodie for school this morning... and hang in there for one more day before your holiday week starts! .............. the winds have calmed down but the cold has set in. the afternoons will stay a little below normal for now.... but then warm up through the weekend to around 70. and then a chance of showers will show up late sunday... into sunday night and a better chance of rain into monday. this will be our only chance of rain for a couple of weeks, and the rest of thanksgiving week will be sunny and mild. ....... temps stay in the mid to upper 60s next week and even near 70 degrees for thanksgiving thursday. thanks, sherry. now to demetria for a look at the roads. back to you! with the northern beltway project that improved 215 between n. 5th st. and decatur. a new interchange at revere street was also built, however, the ramps will remain closed
